Neil H. Fishman, CPA, CFE, FCPA, CAMS has been in practice since 1989. He is a graduate of the State University of New York College at Oneonta, and is licensed as a CPA in Florida & New York. He is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs, the Florida Institute of CPAs, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Forensic CPA Society, the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists, and the National Conference of CPA Practitioners (NCCPAP).
A Past President Of NCCPAP, Neil served as President from November 2018 - October 2020. He has served in various capacities on the National Board since 2005. From 2008-2011 he served as Chair of the National Tax Policy Committee.
In addition, he is the founding President of the South Florida Chapter of NCCPAP (2008-12), and has served as Co-Chair of the National Tax Professionals Symposium in Florida from 2011-2013.
In 2017, Neil completed a 3 year term on the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC).
Neil has authored several articles that have appeared in THE CPA JOURNAL, CALIFORNIA CPA and FLORIDA CPA TODAY. He has also been quoted in several articles that have appeared in various newspapers and journals, including the FLORIDA SUN-SENTINEL and INSIGHT MAGAZINE.
He has spoken about occupational fraud and money laundering for the National Conference of CPA Practitioners at both National and Florida Chapter Meetings, the Long Island Tax Professional Symposium and Alpha Kappa Psi.
He has assisted in the drafting of tax legislation introduced in the United States House of Representatives, the drafting of testimony presented to the United States Senate, and discussed tax issues, particularly on tax refund fraud with key support personnel of the United States Senate Committee on Finance, the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, and participates in IRS conferences on the accounting profession.
In 2019, ACCOUNTING TODAY named Neil as one of "The top 100 Most Influential People" in the Accounting Profession.
In October 2022, Neil was honored with the presentation of The Gold Award for outstanding service to both NCCPAP and the Accounting Profession.
