I've got a situation where I am working with a daughter who is already an existing client of mine.
This past December her father died.
She came in last week to ask me to prepare her parents' 2018 tax return, brings me information this morning.
I learn that yesterday her mother passed away.
I realize that the tax return involves Form 1310 and must be paper filed.
Daughter is listed in both parents' wills as Executor should the other spouse die first.
Daughter is POA for mother on a joint bank account.
Question is, can the refunds be deposited into the joint bank account or must it be paper check?
The major asset is a personal residence that I've already advised her to get an appraisal - I realize is a whole other issue.
