Ah, the dog (and cat) days of summer are here!We all love our pets, so for our first Summer Challenge discussion, post a picture of your furry friend (of course, it could be a bird or an amphibian) and tell us their name and a little bit about them.
Pro Tip: In addition to earning 5 points for replying to the post, you can earn 4 more points by uploading a picture of your pet! To upload a picture, select the "Upload file" button located at the bottom right of your screen, then click on the + sign to select the file you want to upload. Finally, click on the "Upload" button at the bottom of the screen, and your file will be attached to your reply.
We are excited to announce our first ncCPAp On the Go! Summer Challenge.
Between now and Labor Day we will be posting three (3) summer-themed questions in the "On the Go!" community forum to encourage engagement and build camaraderie in our online community. You won't have to wait long for the first Summer Challenge question – it will be posted this Wednesday, July 24th!
To add a little competitive fun to the Summer Challenge, we are assigning a point value to different actions you take in response to each posted question. Tips on how to complete the actions will be provided in the post. Here are the points per action:
5 Points = REPLY to the original posted question
4 Points = UPLOAD a file (such as a photo or document) to your reply
3 Points = @MENTION someone in a reply
2 Points = RECOMMEND a post
1 Point = Attach a TAG (#keyword) to your reply
At the end of the summer, the top three participants with the most points will receive an award for their participation and recognition in the community.
We value your participation in our NCCPAP On the Go! community and look forward to getting to you know better this summer. Please let me know if you have any questions, I'm here to help.
Misty is 14 and the oldest of our 3 cats. She frequently visits the office to supervise and meets with special clients. She is a great stress reliever, especially in tax season. None of our prior interns have found a firm that offers this perk.
She also loved studying with my husband Bobby when he was going for his Surgical Technology degree at Nassau Community College. Whenever he came home with his bookbag, she would run to the dining room to start studying. She was so insistent on studying that he frequently came to the office first to drop off his book bag so he could unwind before studying. Her last picture was taken after they both spent an all-nighter studying for final exams.

We will miss you Linda! CPE won't be the same without you!
Lucy & Romeo are 7 ½ years old. Lucy is as mischievous as Lucille Ball, so her name is very fitting. While Romeo & Misty are sleeping, she is thinking of how to get into trouble next. She even took her own selfie one day! If she gets into too much trouble she gets time out in the bedroom watching Mickie Mouse Club House. She loves the Hot Dog Song. She waits in the window for me to come home and worries if I am out after dark. Romeo is a lap cat who loves attention. He is afraid of loud noises, including the doorbell.
Lucy was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune anemia and is real trooper taking all her pills every day. She is back to her mischievous self.
Lucy is the orange tabby. Romeo is the black and white tuxedo. The order of the pictures changed when they posted.
