  • 1.  CP2000 Notices

    It has been reported that some CP2000 notices have been sent to taxpayers that do not include the information reporting that a tax payer or tax professional would need to respond. On Friday, 11/17, the IRS confirmed that there was a programming error that resulted in incomplete notices being sent out.
    If your client receives a notice that appears to have missing information, we recommend that you contact the IRS at the number provided on the notice and request a new notice. This will reset the response time frame back to 30-days upon receiving the corrected notice.
