TOPIC: Practical Applications of Microsoft Excel for Accountants
DATE: Tuesday, June 25, 2019 8 AM to 10 AM (breakfast included)
LOCATION: M & T Bank Building, 120 White Plains Road, 3rd Floor, Tarrytown, NY 10591
SPEAKER: Michael Zinman
LEARNING OBJECTIVE: This course is designed to CPAs, who think of Excel as a problem-solving tool and application, rather than a simple spreadsheet. We will review real-life application of more advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, SUMIF [and the related family of formulas], and some basic string manipulation [FIND, TEXT, LEFT, RIGHT, MID])
This includes learning how to use and create amortization schedules for a client in seconds. We will have discussion of the creation of the different pieces of these schedules and breaking down the complex-appearing formulas to better understand the creation of these tables. Also, we will discuss Conditional Formatting customization for better client report output and visualization.
