TACPA will focus on peer reviews challenges and topics that the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy has taken on as leadership for the other state boards. Future events in this series will include CPA profession/practice and tax updates, as well as a feature by one of the NCCPAP Chapters.

Save the date for #2 and #3 in the NCCPAP NOW series: February 28 at 10AM ET and May 2 at 10AM ET.

Learning Objectives:

Identify the most recent economic, regulatory, tax, and other current events affecting CPA firms, including, but not limited to NCCPAP committee activity, cybersecurity information, technology update, CPA practice tips and learnings, PR & communications, and membership.

Recognize current and upcoming legislation during the tax and IRS section. We will identify NCCPAP’s position and response, applicable letters to Congress, issues affecting practitioners and taxpayers, IRS Department activity reports, and other related topics. In addition, NCCPAP will be visiting Washington this spring and we will cover process and details at this meeting. At the end of this first session, you will be able to understand Automated Collection System Improvements, Updates to the Child Tax Credits, Accounting Laws for Disaster Relief, and details of the IRSAC Annual Report.

The TACPA Chapter will feature a number of topics crucial to our practices, including peer review challenges, Texas State Board of Public Accountancy initiatives, and upcoming Texas CPE events.

At the end of each speaker’s presentation, there will be a Q&A session open to all event attendees.
