NYS Online User ID

  • 1.  NYS Online User ID

    My client has no idea of the user ID, the system insists there is an account established, the help desk only has the personal information and the PTET election is coming up. Does anyone have any ideas? Other phone numbers, NYS staff?

     

    Losing sleep over this one. Thanks. Sean McCarthy

    Has NCCPAP been able to ascertain if the NYS governor's office and/or NYS income tax will conform the the IRS extended due date of 2020 individual income tax returns to January 3, 2022 or to at least a date later than October 15, 2021?

    NYS extended the due date of 2020 'S' corps and LLCs returns until December 14th, 2021.

    However, many individuals that are required to file by this Friday, October 15th, require the K-1's those very entities generate to complete their individual tax returns!!

    As with the 9-15-21 deadline, NYS likes to wait until the 11th hour to let the tax community and their taxpayers know.

    NYS Notice N-21-5 extends certain October 15th deadlines to January 3, 2022.  The election for Pass-Through Entity Tax (PTET) does not appear to be extended.

    We helped a client with this yesterday – there are specific rules in the instructions if you follow them you will have the option.  We are doing one this morning at 10, I can take screen shots – just call me at 11

    Here is the link:  Create an Online Services account (ny.gov)

    From what I remember from yesterday you must use the Business drop down – follow the steps
