My office has not been able to access the IRS FIRE system to file 1099s, because system doesn’t recognize our password. Due to prior filings, we can’t set up new account. System won’t let my team reset password, and requests to call tech support for this issue. As we have all sadly experienced, it’s an endless exercise, as IRS never answers, and eventually call gets disconnected. Filing deadline is upon us. Does anyone have any suggestions to get us back on-line in time for the deadline?
