Course Overview: Recent events and tax law changes have made many contemplate leaving New York State and New York City. As a result, practitioners are going to be faced with many reporting issues this tax season. The legal concepts involved in determining residency status often conflict with a layperson’s thoughts.

Learing Objectives:
During this webinar Lara and Yvonne will review NYS/NYC residency rules, highlight the Top Ten mistakes and items overlooked by practitioners, discuss best practices, and consider the issues and questions to be asked of a client claiming a change of domicile. Topics will include permanent place of abode, day count and allocation of income.
