you have 3 days from the time that the 8879s are signed to file the return. therefore, no need to have clients redo the forms. going forward, you need to get into the habit of filing the returns as soon as the forms are signed to avoid issues.
And I've not heard of having clients resign the 8879s due to the CPA not being able to process the return

Subject: time allowed between the time the client signs the efile authorizations and the time you file the returns?
Hi All,
Quick question. How much time is allowed between the time the client signs the efile authorizations and the time you file the returns? I have some that were signed 2 days ago. Should I have the clients redo them?
Thanks in advance. Stay strong!
Debbie
