I picked up a trust that has been filing returns for a few years. After reading the trust document, the trust is a grantor trust. I would like to correct it going forward, however, I don't know what to do about the estimated tax payments that were made.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the "decompress" meeting................

I believe that when you file the proper 1041 and no tax is due, the estimated tax payments will be refunded without you having to do anything
