Hi Debbie,
Off the top of my head - 2 resources. In no specific order:
1) Mark Stone, Sales Tax Defense
2) Diane Yetter, Sales Tax Institute
3) Jamie Szal, Brann & Isaacson (works w/ remote retailers to evaluate economic nexus profile - represented Wayfair in South Dakota v. Wayfair)
Good luck, Irene

Subject: Internet sales and sales tax
Hi Everyone,
I need some guidance regarding sales tax. I have a client whose business is internet sales of clothing. They have no inventory or brick and mortar store. All sales are online via website. All payments are collected via credit card. Items are shipped directly from the manufacturer, an unrelated company.
How do I determine if the client is responsible for sales tax collection and remittance since sales are random for any state?
Thanks in advance for your comments and discussion.
