    Any ideas on minimizing the tax of selling a C corporation on an installment sale basis. Assets consist mostly of goodwill, very little basis.

    Consider splitting the transaction into two transactions

    One for the Corporation for the sale of personal property and the other for selling the personal goodwill of the owner if possible
