go to IRS E-SERVICES, log in, enter the clients TIN OR SS # AND NAME. select transcript, form,period and hit ADD, CONTINUE, AND SELECT FORM--- IF YOU GET THE FORM YOU HAVE POA,if it comes up red on top you donot have a poa-------these are general steps in the site --good luck--- poa's can be good for up 10 years if you select the years

hi,
I recently received notification regarding an old client whom I have lost touch with years back.
How long does a POA stay effective for.
is there a way to find out how many I still have which are current?
is there a responsibility to have a POA and not having any contact anymore with the client?
I would like to rescind, but I do not know whom I have which are current
