    I have a client who was a deep sea diver ,but recently he contracted  cancer and is not diving any more.

    He now works as a consultant and rents them his diving gear.
    Are either of these 2 functions subject to sales tax?

    Hi Ken, I highly recommend calling the NYS sales tax hotline and asking them directly whether taxable. Note the time , date and who you spoke to and if it should ever arise in the future, you heard from the horses mouth what to do.
