Great question. I have investigated other insurance premiums and been told that anything not specifically articulated, including med mal, GL and other coverage is NOT included on the non-payroll expense side. As these can be costly expenses, the value of the PPP as a grant is diminished. Given the opportunity, I would expect the lender to classify these expenses as outside the scope as they would result in repayable obligations.
