NJ resident who was previously a NYC resident sold her personal residence in 2024.

The gain on the sale is being taxed as a non-resident to NYS.

As a nonresident is it subject to NYC taxes as well?

I was under the impression that there is no NYC non-resident tax.....

I know this to be true for a commercial building in NYC

There is missing information here. If she was an nyc resident then yes she would be taxed to. Since a state nonresident is filed the city would be entitled to a tax to.
