Part-Time Bookkeeper (Garden City)
Position Overview: We are a non-profit organization seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper with proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop/QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate will have a background in bookkeeping for small organizations and will be responsible for managing various financial tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accounts Payable: Enter Vendors and pay bills.
• Accounts Receivables: Enter customer information and make deposits.
• Record debit card transactions.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of all accounts, including PayPal.
• Process weekly payroll through QuickBooks payroll.
• Manage monthly and quarterly payroll taxes.
• Handle year-end payroll tasks, including W-2s and 1099s and payroll tax returns. Instructions provided
• Prepare quarterly member statements.
• Assist with preparing financial reports, entering budgets, and making quarterly journal entries with guidance from our accountant, all through QuickBooks.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is essential.
• Bookkeeping experience, particularly with small organizations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Hours: This is 3-5 hour a week position. Specific hours will be discussed during the interview process.
