Is 2023 loan forgiveness under 2021 ARPA also exempt from tax for NYS purposes?

I am not familiar at all... so may I ask is it tax free from the Feds ? I am guessing so from your post it is federally tax free.
Mine have been paid off a long time ago... but KIDS ... well Grad and Law school leaves debt.
