The presentation will offer a practical guide and address the major tax implications associated with common planning structures in real estate that frequently involve the liquidation or division of a partnership or corporation (typically, an S corporation). Topics include partnership mixing bowls and partnership and S corporation “divorces.” The panel also will address structuring corporate freezes as an alternative to liquidation.
