Thank you to all that attended and participated in our May NCCPAP NOW event. It was another great success, and we hope you enjoyed the topics presented.

This session covered the latest happenings in the profession, a tax update (based on current legislation at the moment), regulatory issues, and a comprehensive report from NCCPAP’s most recent meetings with legislators.The meetings with the congressional offices included a number of topics: undue hardships from corrections to Form 1099, deductibility of Long-Term Health Care Premiums, the Taxpayer Protection and Preparer Proficiency Act (H.R. 4184), the Tax Deadline Simplification Act (H.R. 4214), and more. In addition, this session's tax update also covered IRS Error Resolution System (ERS), examinations/audits, the Qualified Opportunity Fund, and paper processing issues.
