    Robert,

    As far as I remember, You would have to file an initial corp return in Fla for the S Corp. reflecting that it has elected S status and then after that there is no need to file a state return in Fl.

    Actually, there is an annual filing (with the Florida Dept of State) and fee that has to be paid by all Florida Corporations including S Corporations.  The current cost for a Florida S Corp is $150.00.  The due date is May 1st.
