    If you file a late S Corporation election under Rev. Proc. 2013-30, do you have to paper file the tax return or upload the signed 2553 as an attachment?

    The service will reject the return unless it is an S at the time of filing.

    I have filed the 2553 late, with a letter citing the Rev Proc... , filed a C extension electronically, then filed the S return electronically and been approved.
    my software allows me to change the entity from a C to an S.
    the key is to have the S approved before the electronica receipt of the S return
